Winter Sports

Dear Parents and Athletes:

You are cordially invited to the Winter Athletic Open House on Tuesday, November 13th,
at 7:00pm.

We are requiring attendance at this event for each athlete and his or her parent.  In this way coaches, parents and students are guaranteed the opportunity to meet and discuss the expectations and responsibilities of North Salem athletes.

We will gather at 7:00pm in the auditorium for the opening program.  Our school physician, Dr. Elliot Barsh and school nurse, Rita Carey, will present a short program on the new State mandated concussion management policy.  Immediately following the program, you and your youngster will then meet with your athlete’s coach.  Parents of our modified wrestlers and varsity boy’s swimmers will meet their coaches at the winter athletic open house held at John Jay High School, time and date to be announced.  Parents of our varsity and modified ice hockey teams will meet their coaches at the winter athletic open house held at Somers High School, time and date to be announced.

Please remember that to facilitate communication among coaches, athletes and parent’s we have made attendance at this event mandatory.  If, however, attendance is not possible, please call the office of the Director of Athletics at 669-5414 ext. 2039.  The coaches and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, November 13th.  Your support is always greatly appreciated.
