Hi Everybody,
Happy Valentine's Day!
Last Tuesday at the PTO Meeting Dr. Hibbard presented the North Salem Central School District mission and how it may be implemented. We all worked on a problem and found many solutions to the task. I thank Dr. Hibbard for a most informative and creative presentation.
Dismissal for students who will not take the bus has been brought back to the gym. When you arrive please go directly into the gym. You will be able to sign for you children when they arrive. We tried the new plan this week and it is working well.
Parents please make sure to check/replenish your children's balance on their lunch account. Go to Profile Information once you are signed into NutriKids and sign up to receive an e-mail that will remind you when your balance is low.
Kindergarten Registration was last week. If you know anyone who has a child who will be five by November 30th, please encourage them to call Jean Jerussi. She will make an appointment to see them and begin the process. Thank you to all the families who came to register last week.
Last Friday was the Sweetheart Ball. The students were accompanied by a dad, uncle, grandfather or older brother. There was music and ice cream. It was a wonderful. I thank the PTO for creating this event. Friday was also Pajama Day. The Student Council sponsored this event. The staff and students enjoyed the day.

Hi Everybody,
This Friday is the first ever PQ Sweet Heart Ball. The PTO is sponsoring this father daughter event. We hope to have great pictures for the web site. If you attend and take pictures please send me your best in a link. Thank you to the PTO for creating this event. A Mother Son Bowling Event is coming.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS THIS WEEK. IF YOU HAVE A CHILD WHO WILL BE FIVE BY NOVEMBER 30TH PLEASE COME TO PQ ONE AFTERNOON THIS WEEK TO REGISTER. REGISTRATION IS A 10 MINUTE PAPERWORK PROCESS. PLEASE SEE THE LINKS BELOW TO GET THE FORMS YOU WILL NEED.
As a reminder, lice can occur anytime during the year. If your child has lice please inform Donna DeMeo in the nurse's office and treat your child prior to sending them back to school.
Dr. Hibbard will be speaking at the PTO meeting today. His topic is the North Salem School District Mission. It promises to be a very interesting presentation. The meeting begins at 9:00 AM. I hope to see you there.
Come see the show. The North Salem Middle High School presents PT Barnum. This is a musical based on the life of PT Barnum. Shows are Friday and Saturday, at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM. It sounds perfect for elementary age children. Please check the High School web page for details.
