2024-2025 Board of Education Committee Assignments
Most committees welcome community participation. Committee members are selected each September for a one-year term, except for the Audit Committee, which is a three-year term. If you are interested in volunteering, contact us at BOE@northsalemschools.org. Assignments are made at the discretion of the committee chairperson.
Audit - Each year, and in compliance with NYS SED requirements, the audit committee oversees the preparation of an audit of school expenditures. This audit is presented to the Board in the early fall and is then filed per NYS regulations. From time to time, this committee may also conduct an internal audit to ensure that best business practices are being applied. Past internal audits have looked at topics as varied as time card management, data security and cafeteria improvements. The committee meets semi-annually.
