• Physical Setting/Applied Physical Science

This course develops the fundamental concepts of a physical science with a major emphasis on the qualitative aspects needed to understand and appreciate the nature of physics. Topics include the study of motion, the understanding of energy principles, using wave characteristics to understand sound and light and the applications of electricity and magnetism. Laboratory activities will serve to develop an appreciation of scientific methods and aid in the development of critical thinking skills as applied to problem-solving scientific discrepancies.
