Voting Information

  • In order to vote in the North Salem Central School District's Annual Budget Vote/Trustee Election, you must be a registered voter.

    To be eligible to vote you must:

    1. be a citizen of the United States
    2. be at least 18 years old by the date of the election
    3. be a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to election day
    4. be registered with either the school district board of registration or with the county board of elections.  If you have previously registered to vote, but have not voted in either a school district or general election in the last four years, you must re-register to vote.  Please call the District Clerk to verify your registration status

    Registration: 

    You may register in person with the District Clerk, North Salem Central School District, 230 June Road, North Salem, NY  10560, 914-669-5414 x 1011 during normal business hours, up to five (5) days before the vote.

    Absentee Ballots:  

    Absentee ballot applications are available from the District Clerk in the District Office, 230 June Road, North Salem, NY during normal business hours (8:00 am - 4:00 pm) or by downloading the application. 

    ORIGINAL Applications must be returned to:  District Clerk, 230 June Road, North Salem, NY  10560  

    Absentee ballot applications should be submitted in original form, with the original signature.  It must be submitted at least seven days before the vote/election if the ballot will be personally picked up by the voter.  Absentee ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 pm on the day of the vote/election in order to be counted.
