Music Theory I
Introduction to Music Theory is an introductory half-credit course that explores the theory and structure behind music. Students will learn basic fundamentals of music reading in order to construct rhythms, scales, chords and melodies, as well as analyze how composers have constructed music over time. This course is recommended for students who wish to deepen their understanding of music and is highly recommended for those who are interested in pursuing a career in music. This course does not fulfill the Humanities requirement for graduation.
