Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Patty Rappa
My name is Patty Rappa and I am one of 2 occupational therapists working in North Salem. I provide services to students at PQ as well as at the MSHS. I graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook with a B.A. in English in 1987. While at Stony Brook, I was Campus Coordinator for the Special Olympics Training Club and helped in hosting the Sufflolk County Special Olympics at our university in 1986. This experience solidified my interest in working with kids with special needs. Following graduation, I entered a 2 1/2 yr program at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and graduated with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy in 1989. I worked at the Hospital for Joint Diseases for 10 years in their chronic pain program, orthopedic, rehabilitation and pediatric departments. I then got married and moved to Westchester where I worked providing home care services to Early Intervention and CPSE (preschool) students while my two daughters were young and in school. I was hired by BOCES in 2016 and worked on campus until I was placed in North Salem schools, working at PQ and at the MS/HS. In my spare time I love doing yoga and walking with a friend.
