• Positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) is a framework for schools to promote positive school behavior.  Students are taught the expected behaviors in all school settings. Expected behavior is recognized in a variety of ways and unexpected behaviors are corrected with reteaching and redirection.  The goals of PBIS are preventing unexpected behavior and encouraging expected behaviors.  Research supports PBIS as a successful tool in maintaining positive pro-social behaviors.
