It is important to remember that stress is a natural reaction and not all stress is bad. Short-term positive stress can motivate you, help you concentrate and help you perform better. However, chronic negative stress is associated with health problems like fatigue, overeating, chronic headaches, muscle, and joint pain. In some extreme cases, stress can even lead to more serious mental health issues.
We all know how hard it is to avoid stress these days with many ongoing demands for your time and attention. Understanding the stress/health connection can help you better manage stress, improve your health and well being, and develop healthy habits to ease your everyday stress. Remember that a good night’s sleep is the most important natural stress reducer!
