Business-Savvy Students Simulate Company

Eighth-grade students recently had a taste of business experience as they successfully completed their class company simulation.

The Careers class initiative required students to apply for a desired position within the class company, including through writing and presenting their own cover letters and résumés, and participating in job interviews with Middle/High School Principal Vince DiGrandi.

“The students simulated what it was like to run a real company and prepare food for student customers,” Colleen Fodor, family and consumer sciences teacher, said.

The simulation concluded with students collecting real, nonperishable food items that will be donated to a community food pantry.
