Juniors
On October 28th the high school has an early dismissal at 10:30. The Summit Educational Group has offered to come to North Salem High School to administer a free practice ACT to any interested juniors. They will be scoring the test and will report back the results to each student. Please see attached flyer for registration details.
Junior and Seniors
So far, we have more than 70 colleges scheduled to visit this fall starting on September 9th. Please feel free to come meet the college representatives for schools you're interested in learning more about. In many cases, they will also be the person reviewing the student applications. Please register for a session through Naviance Student (formerly known as Family Connection). The schedule can be found under the College Visits tab on the Counseling web page. The representatives will meet with students in the High School Counseling office during the scheduled time. If there's a school you'd like to have come that's currently not listed, please let the Counseling Office know and we'll try to schedule a visit.
Seniors
This is a very exciting and sometimes stressful time for seniors as they decide where they will go and what they will do after graduation. Mr. Davis and Mrs. Loughran will be available for all seniors throughout the year as they navigate these waters. They went into all OPTIONS classes in September to review the college application process to ensure that all students were familiar with the procedures. We ask that each senior who wishes to apply to college make an individual appointment with their counselor at least 2-3 weeks before sending out their applications.
Mark your calendars for these upcoming College Fairs!
